Painted plein-air from a large cherry blossom tree that hangs over the gate at the park. It
’s challenging to work at this size out of doors but there’s a great freedom and abundance
in working a bit larger, which is a bit of what cherry blossoms are all about!
This painting has quite a tactile surface with the blossom softly projecting from the canvas surface.
