Original Irish oil on wood painting.

This is a loose oil on wood painting of O'connell Street in Dublin on a winters night in January 2023. Like most people, I suppose, I tend to find cities far more interesting to look at at night than during the day; the lights and colours pop in high dynamic contrast when compared to how drab those same places can look in flat grey overcast daylight. There is of course a very different atmosphere at night than during the day, both good and bad.  In this painting I aimed to capture that.
