    Newgrange is a prehistoric monument in County Meath, Ireland. Built during the Neolithic period, around 3200 BC, making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.

    Newgrange is a large circular mound 85m in diameter and 13m high with a 19m stone passageway and chambers inside. The mound is ringed by 97 large kerbstones, some of which are engraved with symbols called megalithic art.

    The drawing depicts a section of the carved entrance stone and the entrance into the passageway.
