Vibrant Autumn at the People’s Park, Limerick

Oil painting on canvas 60x60cm

I painted this directly in a brief impressionist style on a bright sunny Autumn day at the park. Bold marks and impasto details give this painting an energetic touch highlighting the gold, red and orange leaves at their peak of colour. Roses still in bloom add to the riotous colour effect.

This painting is on Winsor and Newton Cotton Canvas. I use Royal Talens Cobra and Micheal Harding brand oil paints they give fantastic colour and clarity with lightfast pigments.
