Other Description
This painting of the wide open expanse of bogland and mountains in the west of Ireland came to my mind when I read Blake’s quote : “Great things are done when men and mountains meet; this is not done by jostling in the street.
“. At first, there were no obvious man-made marks on the land and then I thought of the straight lines of fences that ran across the bog. This is a restful painting that gives a sense of possibility as the morning light catches the side of the mountain covered in mist. It’s an oil on deep edged canvas 12″ x 12″ x 1.75″ that does not require framing and is ready to hang.
