‘R.N.L. I Lifeboat Arklow Harbour’ by Nick Fegan

Watercolour of an R.N.L.I Lifeboat berthed at Arklow Harbour. Co. Wicklow. Something about this setting that encouraged me to paint it. The background trees and blue mountains added some natural environmental aspect to another what ‘mechanical’ subject. The clouds give a floating and happy-feeling; to the whole work in my opinion. At the heart of the whole watercolour is, of course, the boat. These boats always excite me to paint and draw them.
