The Gap of Dunloe is a narrow passage between mountains near my home in Killarney.
It is usually traversed on horseback or.by “jaunting car” and until recently was not open to motorised traffic.You can now drive through by car if you are very brave.
The scenery is stunning and it is one of my favourite places to paint weather permitting. On this particular day a soft rain was falling so this was painted later in the studio.
It is framed in a white solid wood bespoke frame and measures 20″ x 24″
