About the Artist
These are a series of drawings from the wild atlantic coast of Ireland. An Irish art expression of joy in the land of my birth. Deirdre has been drawing and painting all her life. She is most noted for her work in astronomy, art and education. Dee’s latest artworks are inspired by the beautiful landscape that surrounds her home. The rugged Wild Atlantic Way offers many subjects for drawing.
Drawing with soft pastels is something I love to bits. The way they blend and offer energy to a drawing really gets me. Sometimes when I paint I like to use metals and other materials added to the paint to punch up the texture. When I draw and paint there is nothing else in the room only me the work and mostly jazz.
