About the Artist
Syra studied art at Hammersmith College of Art London and qualified with merit in 1972.
She moved to Ireland with luthier husband Chris in 1977. They have lived and worked in the Maharees for over 30 years. Syra has taken part in many of the major open submission exhibitions in this country and has had work in both solo and group exhibitions in Ireland, America, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium,and England. In 2004 she was nominated by the Internal Committee of the Florence Biennale to take part in the 2005 Florence Biennale. Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections.
