For a long time I painted mostly in watercolours - a great but unforgiving medium. I changed to oils which is adaptable to change and correction. Painting the Irish landscape but focused mainly on my home county of Clare and the western seaboard, in plein air and studio, there tends to be a hint of nostalgia in my paintings for what it was like in times gone by. I have exhibited in various galleries and have had instruction from time to time from some excellent tutors.
