Golden Autumn Trees at the park, Limerick Oil landscape painting on board 20x24in (51x61cm) €495 I love how the leaves pass through different colour stages in autumn. After the rich reds and oranges have faded in late autumn there is this point in time where the remaining green leaves turn golden, almost it seems in one night. Its short-lived too because they fall quickly as soon as there is any wind… like childhood. I tried to capture this moment in the studio after a walk in the park. About the materials: This painting is on high density fibreboard which has been sealed and primed before paint application. As there is no grain the board is resistant to warping. However it is recommended that this work be framed before hanging to protect the corners from accidental impact damage. I use Royal Talens Cobra and Micheal Harding brand oil paints they give fantastic colour and clarity with lightfast pigments.
