Waterfall at Clare Glens, Co. Tipperary
Oil landscape on board, 24x20in.
As much as painting is inspired by the world around, it is also something which flows from within, in this work I poured out my anxiety and frustration in large bold marks of strong colour applied with a knife, before working in smaller marks and softer colour applied with a brush, as all that energy was expelled and allowed to flow away. River water running continuously down to the sea, freely moving around all obstacles.
Note: This painting will ship when dry.
This painting is on high density fiberboard which has been sealed and primed before paint application.
I use Royal Talens Cobra and Micheal Harding brand oil paints they give fantastic colour and clarity with lightfast pigments.
